FVC Logo

I forgot to post this when I made it, but this was my contribution to the FVC art show this year. I had no idea what to do, so I just started winging it. I don't know, it was just okay. I don't like drawings or pictures as much as type, so I didn't add anything out of my comfort zone because the deadline was coming up and I needed to finish it. There were three color versions but since this new template is weird I just wanted to have it be one HUGE FVC thing.

Acceptance Week Games

Version One:

Version Two, extra colors and just a dash of WHY:

This was the Acceptance Week lunch games poster for Ms. Schnake. I had absolutely no clue what to do for this. Make it Hawaiian? Accepting? Friendly? I'm not exactly any of those things unless I really, really try, and that's just not my aesthetic style anyway. So I figured using colors that are kind of tropical in nature and a texture that kind of looked like waves from a bird's eye view would make up for the fact that I didn't put any palm trees on it. This was another quick and dirty type thing, because I'm a fool of a Took and didn't work on it over the weekend when I had time. And then the sub on Tuesday was just rage-inducing. Which doesn't excuse not having this done yesterday when it was supposed to, but it explains my inability to focus on anything other than not yelling at him. I don't like when adults start sassing children and trying to lord power over children because that certain adult is just rude. Sorry.

Jeans Week

This was the Jeans Week poster, but I'm not exactly sure who the client was. Either way, this is probably my favorite poster I've made all year. I took the idea of having a diagonally striped background from last year's poster, but I wanted to do something that didn't involve a pair of jeans like most of the past ones. I just think that looks kind of tacky. Instead, I took a denim texture and used that instead, and played around with the opacity for the stripes to make it look nice. After that I was kind of winging it, and ended up with the "patches" for the details. Apparently "jeans week" looks like something for a clothing company. So I guess that works? Either way I'm so proud of this. Joy.

9 to 5 Extra Things

These were hearts of Roz Keith (Emily Mucha) and Franklin Hart (Brendan Pedersen) for projection in the musical. It was mainly for Mr West because he's the Tech Director so he's doing the projection. I had to get it done in a very short amount of time, so it was just a quick and dirty thing. But it was cheesy, like everyone wanted, and creepy, like I wanted. I got to find new stock photo websites since sxc.hu was down, which is always fun.

9 to 5 Poster

My goodness I hate this poster so, so much. It was for the music department, and oh dear this project caused so much undue stress. I started this project wanting to do something different than what I usually do and make it look slightly more realistic, like papers scattered on a desk. However, my many issues with my hard drive corrupting most of my files and my computer at home slowly committing suicide, caused me to have to make this poster approximately 5 times. So by the time I finally cranked this bad boy out, I had to do everything in about an hour at 10 at night. So this is not something I am proud of at all, I don't want to be connected to it, I am sad about it. But I finished, which is what counts.
