House Walk Cards

Just something quick for Mr Naughton's wife, I just kinda want it up here so I don't forget it exists. Because I would totally do that. Yay for not being organized.

This was a card for Mr Naughton's wife's business, she did the window treatments for a house walk for rich people and it was to let people know who she is. It was really fast and easy, just something I had to finish in a class period. I had to figure out what to emphasize and how to make it stand out while still looking professional and like it would fit in a fancy house.

Eco Club Poster

I wish it didn't show up so painfully bright on the interwebz...

This was for Mr Lattyak (and I guess Mr Mack since he's in charge of the club but I never spoke to him) to advertise Eco Club. My biggest struggle with this one was actually getting the information because almost every time I went to talk to Mr Lattyak, he either wasn't there or didn't have the information I needed, so by the time I actually knew what was supposed to be on it, I only had a few days to do it. Besides that, everything went smoothly, especially because I had a little extra time outside of school to work on it at my house (yay for having CS5).

Brighter Homework Club Posters

Because, you know...people like bright things and I kind of don't. But ya know. Colors. Yay.

These were the final posters to advertise Homework Club, I'm not sure exactly who it was for. They (the powers that be) wanted a brighter poster so that people would actually look at it in the hallways. In my original version, when I was working on the look of the design (not solely the colors), I really had no issues making the text look the way I wanted it to. It was a huge issue for me to get the blue one to look good for some reason, I just couldn't get it to look right, and I still don't think it looks good. However, once I was able to get the blue one to a decent point, the purple was much easier to change without completely redoing the coloring.

Homework Club Posters

Just the first versions of the Homework Club posters. I personally like these more but I like muted colors. So yeah. Everything about working on this project is on the final version.

Yearbook Poster

This was for Miss Mangano to advertise Yearbook Club. It was just a quick thing, but I like the color scheme I used. Maybe not the pink so much but it stands out against all the blue in school.

This was just a poster to advertise Yearbook Club, Miss Mangano commissioned me during my photos class. She had no ideas about what she wanted it to say, and she wanted it fast, so I had to just get it done. I wasn't sure what to do at first, if it should just be text or add some kind of image to it, but I work better with text, so I decided to just do that so that I could get it out quickly. It wasn't a conscious decision at the time, but I'm really happy I used a pinky color for the background because after the Homework Club posters being too dark, I realize that if I'd done a color scheme like I normally would, the poster wouldn't really show up.

Rachel's Challenge Posters

First Version                                                                               Second version
These were to advertise Rachel's Challenge at the start of the school year. I don't know if anything ever came of them, but that could just be me being unobservant.

This was just for the people in charge of Rachel's Challenge at the school (I think?) to advertise this at the beginning of the year. It was really easy to get started with because even though I hadn't done any poster making during the summer, I had just about total free reign with this, so it was easy to start something. I had to change the text a little bit to fit in with what they wanted, but it wasn't a big deal at all. Besides that, it was really simple to finish.
