Extra Sticker

This was just a tutorial I'd wanted to work on for a few weeks but hadn't had the time to do. I chose to have it say "People Suck" because we'd been talking about how people suck beforehand, and since I didn't have anything else, I just went with it. It was just something fun to do, but Miss Mangano said she wants a sticker, so now I think I'm going to print some out for Odyssey! I want to use this text style for the Coffee House poster, but maybe change the colors a little bit.
Also the colors are kinda screwed up and it's really pixelated. Not sure why, it's pretty large and I saved it at the highest quality.

Anomoly Poster

This was my final Anomoly poster. It was for the art department in general. This is the second version, the first version had a different ice texture, but it looked like feathers so I changed it to this. I was so behind at this point, so I had to make something and finish it in about two days without any time outside of class to work on it. While I like it, this wasn't the original design I wanted. I brought home a tablet one weekend to try to work on it and make something different than what I usually do, but I didn't like anything I made, so I just scrapped everything and realized I had about two days to finish. While I'm proud I was able to make something in the time frame I had, I'm not as happy as I could be. It's still nice-ish, and I like the color schemes I chose.

Tablabet

The tablabet letter I did that I didn't want to share...because I don't like it. But you know. It's there. And done.

This was the tablabet letter that I kind of forgot about until I realized this was required for midterm. I had no idea what to do, so I just started going at it. I liked using the tablet since I'm used to it after using it in AP Photo, but I wasn't happy with how it turned out and I needed to get other things done, so it's just kind of...there. If I'd turned it in, it would have been for the tablabet display case, but since I didn't, this is just kind of chilling on the internet.

Elements of Art Poster: Line

I really don't know if I like it. I had no idea what to do so I found a tutorial that involved lines and went from there. I guess it's nice? I'm not sure if I like the texture in the background but it looked really flat without something.

This was for the elements of art board on the wall, so I guess it was for Mrs Guss? Again, I was really behind at this point after the Swing Choir shirt (honestly I've been behind since then), so I had to make something quickly to meet the deadline. I used a tutorial to make the wavy lines because I had no idea what to do, and I actually ended up liking the lines. I would like to use them again in the future, in fact. It was done in probably two days, so I'm happy with it for being done so quickly.

Drug Free Posters

The drug free posters that I don't think are very good or useful because, you know, I have no faith in the people here if they've already started making bad choices. But it's pretty.

These were for the drug free campaign thing. I don't know exactly who it was for, everyone had to make one and I never actually asked who wanted it. Honestly, I didn't like this project. By this point I was really busy with other things, and I'd been working on the Swing Choir shirt, so I ended up being really behind and needed to just throw something together really fast. The powers that be wanted these to be positive, which I don't know if I succeeded in, but it looks nice I guess.

Swing Choir Shirt

All done!

This was for Mr Boncosky and the Swing Choir kids. It was a LOT of work, I probably spent a solid 4 days working on it in class, and then working outside of class a little bit. It wasn't difficult in any way, there was just a lot I had to do, especially since I wanted it to be on par with the shirts from past years. It wasn't my design, because I guess they usually have someone in Swing Choir design it, but since no one was in both Swing Choir and Senior Design, they had someone design it and I rendered it. I'm actually proud of it.

NAHM Display Case Posters

Display case thing thangs. They are a thing. Short and sweet. Yahoo.

These are the posters for the NAHM display cases. They just say what everything in the cases are and who made them. I guess you'd say they're for Mrs Guss and Miss Mangano. It was kind of a struggle at first because I wasn't sure how to organize the information, but once I figured that out everything else was simple.

House Walk Cards

Just something quick for Mr Naughton's wife, I just kinda want it up here so I don't forget it exists. Because I would totally do that. Yay for not being organized.

This was a card for Mr Naughton's wife's business, she did the window treatments for a house walk for rich people and it was to let people know who she is. It was really fast and easy, just something I had to finish in a class period. I had to figure out what to emphasize and how to make it stand out while still looking professional and like it would fit in a fancy house.

Eco Club Poster

I wish it didn't show up so painfully bright on the interwebz...

This was for Mr Lattyak (and I guess Mr Mack since he's in charge of the club but I never spoke to him) to advertise Eco Club. My biggest struggle with this one was actually getting the information because almost every time I went to talk to Mr Lattyak, he either wasn't there or didn't have the information I needed, so by the time I actually knew what was supposed to be on it, I only had a few days to do it. Besides that, everything went smoothly, especially because I had a little extra time outside of school to work on it at my house (yay for having CS5).

Brighter Homework Club Posters

Because, you know...people like bright things and I kind of don't. But ya know. Colors. Yay.

These were the final posters to advertise Homework Club, I'm not sure exactly who it was for. They (the powers that be) wanted a brighter poster so that people would actually look at it in the hallways. In my original version, when I was working on the look of the design (not solely the colors), I really had no issues making the text look the way I wanted it to. It was a huge issue for me to get the blue one to look good for some reason, I just couldn't get it to look right, and I still don't think it looks good. However, once I was able to get the blue one to a decent point, the purple was much easier to change without completely redoing the coloring.

Homework Club Posters

Just the first versions of the Homework Club posters. I personally like these more but I like muted colors. So yeah. Everything about working on this project is on the final version.

Yearbook Poster

This was for Miss Mangano to advertise Yearbook Club. It was just a quick thing, but I like the color scheme I used. Maybe not the pink so much but it stands out against all the blue in school.

This was just a poster to advertise Yearbook Club, Miss Mangano commissioned me during my photos class. She had no ideas about what she wanted it to say, and she wanted it fast, so I had to just get it done. I wasn't sure what to do at first, if it should just be text or add some kind of image to it, but I work better with text, so I decided to just do that so that I could get it out quickly. It wasn't a conscious decision at the time, but I'm really happy I used a pinky color for the background because after the Homework Club posters being too dark, I realize that if I'd done a color scheme like I normally would, the poster wouldn't really show up.

Rachel's Challenge Posters

First Version                                                                               Second version
These were to advertise Rachel's Challenge at the start of the school year. I don't know if anything ever came of them, but that could just be me being unobservant.

This was just for the people in charge of Rachel's Challenge at the school (I think?) to advertise this at the beginning of the year. It was really easy to get started with because even though I hadn't done any poster making during the summer, I had just about total free reign with this, so it was easy to start something. I had to change the text a little bit to fit in with what they wanted, but it wasn't a big deal at all. Besides that, it was really simple to finish.
